Attorney Philip G. Thompson

Philip G. Thompson has been a lawyer for over twenty six years and is an active civil trial lawyer, handling cases for both plaintiffs and defendants. He has tried over one hundred cases to verdict in various jury and non jury matters. Phil is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator. His areas of focus include personal injury and wrongful death, medical malpractice claims, workers compensation claims, social security disability, and general civil litigation matters.

Before attorney Philip Thompson graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Law in 1995, he graduated magna cum laude from Auburn University. A former member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Philip possesses no shortage of competence and intellectual curiosity, two traits that have served him well as he’s represented countless West Palm Beach, Lake Worth and Port St. Lucie clients in legal cases over the past two decades.

Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1996 and licensed to practice law before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals later that year. Philip is also licensed to practice law before the U.S. District Court for both the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. Philip was certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a circuit civil mediator in April 2015, and later qualified by the Florida Supreme Court as an Arbitrator.

A member of the trial lawyers, workers’ compensation and real estate law sections of the Florida Bar. Philip also serves as a legal member of the Palm Beach and North Palm Beach County bar associations, the Palm Beach County Justice Association, the Florida Justice Association, Florida Workers Advocates, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives.

Philip boasts over 26 years of legal and trial experience with issues involving; personal injury law, workers’ compensation law and Social Security Disability law. Over the past sixteen years, Philip has gained legal experience providing real estate title and closing services as an agent for the Attorneys Title Fund out of West Palm Beach, FL.

  • Philip is particularly proud of his role in the verdict in the case of Hyatt v. Geo Group Inc., recognized by the Daily Business Review as the fifth-highest premises liability verdict in Florida during 2012. The total amount of the verdict was over $1.25 million.

Hobbies And Community Involvement

When not in the office, Phil enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, golfing and training in the martial arts. Phil also volunteers every year as an advance marshal for the Honda Classic golf tournament.

Attorney Charles D. Thomas

Before becoming a West Palm Beach, FL lawyer, Mr. Thomas received his B.S. degree in political science from Shepherd University. He attended college on a four-year athletic scholarship to play football and graduated cum laude in 1995. Mr. Thomas attended Nova Southeastern University School of Law and graduated in 1999. 

Attorney Charles D. Thomas served on the Moot Court Honor Society Board and represented Nova for two years at the Southern Region National Trial Competition. Attorney Charles D. Thomas was the recipient of the Krupnick, Campbell, et. al, P.A. Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy. He was awarded the Order of the Barrister by his professor for excellence in trial advocacy.

Mr. Thomas was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1999. He has been licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida law since 2000.

Thomas focuses on real estate litigation, real estate transactions, injury litigation, contractural disputes, and employment related matters including Workers’ Compensation.

Attorney Charles D. Thomas has served as a lecturer in the past for Lorman Education Services on the topics of employment law, discrimination law, and workers’ compensation law. Attorney Charles D. Thomas presented a lecture in 2001 to the Florida chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association titled “How to Bring a Successful Workers’ Compensation Relation Claim.”

Attorney Charles D. Thomas has delivered presentations to the Palm Beach County Deaf Society, the Port St. Lucie Lupus Foundation and the Breast Cancer Support Group on the legal rights of those with disabilities in the workplace. Attorney Charles D. Thomas has been an outspoken advocate regarding those legal rights.

For many years, attorney Charles D. Thomas has been a proud supporter of the ALSAC St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital family by coordinating, planning and participating in several charitable events on behalf of the organization, including serving as co-chair of the 2006 Palm Beach Gala to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and serving as chair of that event in 2007.

Hobbies And Community Involvement

Chuck has served as vice president of the baseball board for the Jupiter Tequesta Athletic Association (JTAA), previously served as a member of the JTAA Football Board, currently serves as a member of the board for the South Florida Collegiate Baseball League, and served on his church council. Chuck enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and coaching his children in their athletic endeavors.
